Engineering Magnet Coordinator
I am excited to spend my first year as Engineering Magnet Coordinator at Downtown Engineering Magnet Academy listening to, learning from, and collaborating with our students, faculty, staff, parents, community partners, and friends. I welcome you to be a part of this exciting time as our school relentlessly moves forward to grow our engineering program by enrolling new engineers and expanding our engineering experiences in the field and in the classroom.

I am excited to innovate and explore with our scholars this year as we use science, technology, engineering, math and arts to solve problems! The focus for our classes will be Engineering through the Engineering is Elementary (EiE) curriculum. We will follow the Downtown Magnet Academy engineering process to complete group builds and team engineering challenges. The skills and information we learn form these hands-on activities will then be applied as we work through a real-world problem. My goals are for us to have fun, foster our individual growth mindsets, and enhance the 4 C’s of collaborations, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
